Christmas past

Hi! Gosh, it has been a long time since I've posted. There's been a lot of crap-ola going on. The good news is that I'm still employed. That's more than many can say, for sure.

I didn't do anything for Christmas, Justin went out of town and I stayed home. I was supposed to go visit some relatives, but I overslept. Since it's a two hour drive, I wouldn't have made it in time for Christmas dinner. So the retarded dog, the bird and I had ham sandwiches.

Over the past month or so, I built a home server out of an old computer, some spare parts and a new 500 gb hard drive. With all of this excess capacity for storage and having purchased a refurbished scanner that I use for when I work from home, I started scanning old pictures in albums that I borrowed from my mother. (Which is what I did most of the day yesterday. Remove picture from album, scan, adjust settings, replace picture in album and repeat.)

Anyway, right now I've got many pictures from the 70's scanned, not that there was any order, but most of these pictures were in albums and I started with them. Yeah, I've got a long way to go. A lot of the pictures are from Christmases years ago and I thought I'd share a handful with you.

The little blond headed guy in the pictures, is my brother. The lady with the long hair in the first picture is my mother and I'm sitting in my grandmother's lap. The other kid is a cousin. What kind of redneque child does not wear a shirt at Christmas? Um yeah, that would be my brother and me. Some of these were taken in 1976, some in 1977.

I hope you had a great Christmas. I think I might be back over here more often now that the holidays are over.

Lovin it all!! Thank you for sharing those memories and pictures. As for the redneque practice of going shirtless, I protest! It is obvious that you - even at an early age - were concerned about the cardinal principles of the Society and we saving money, energy, and the environment by not dirtying unnecessary clothing!

May those ham sandwiches have tasted like the food of kings, for in my book they certainly fed one. *smile* [belated] Merry Christmas, Brad!

Glad to hear from you. Glad you're still employed! Love the pictures. Oh, those curls! (I know, I could have gone without saying that, right?)

Blessings for the new year to you and Justin.
